2. Subscription Manager Configuration

After creating your account, configure the subscription manager on your client device using the terminal:

sudo subscription-manager register --username=YOUR_USERNAME

• You will be prompted for a password, enter your RedHat Developers Account Password
• You will be registered to subscription.rhsm.redhat.com:443/subscription after you enter your RedHat Developer password.
• You will receive a message in the terminal stating that The system has been registed with ID : RANDOM SET of CHARACTERS. The registered system name is : HOSTNAME

3. Install Necessary Packages

sudo yum install rhc rhc-worker-playbook

4. Configuring User Access in Red Hat Insights

• Login to Red Hat Insights: Go to the Red Hat Insights dashboard and log in using your Red Hat Developer account credentials.
• Navigate to User Access Section: Go to the “User Access” or “User Management” section (might vary based on the dashboard version).
• Create a Remediation Admin Group: Click on “Create Group” and name it as Remediation Admin or similar.
• Add Users to the Group: Select the group you just created and click on “Add User.” Enter the necessary user details or usernames to add them to the Remediation Admin group.

5. Utilizing Red Hat Insights

With the installation and user access configured, access the Insights dashboard to view system analysis, security assessments, and potential vulnerabilities.

6. Remediating Vulnerabilities

As a member of the Remediation Admin group, you’ll have the authority to remediate identified vulnerabilities. Follow the instructions within Red Hat Insights to resolve the issues effectively!
